Lacquered vs Bare Wood Axe Handles and the Demise of Turney Wood Products

Turney apparently went out of business about the same time I learned the handle trade myself. What a shame that is, it’s like the shift from carbon steel knife blades to stainless steel knife blades, a detriment to everyone whether they know any better or not.
