Falling
i had a dream portion i wanted to mention for the familiar part. i was running upriver and it was beginning to get dark, so i found an old dead tree and climbed up into its branches. someone was chasing me and i figured i’d be safe until it was light and i could move on. up in the higher branches was a platform and i made my way onto it and then dangled my legs over either side of a big branch that faced the river and abutted the platform. below me there was a semi truck parked across the waterway just upriver of me and on the other bank, waiting. i figured i was safe and unseen tho, so i laid back to rest.
each time i’d try to relax, i’d begin to feel i was falling into the sky. i tried to rationalize this with myself, saying this only happens in dreams and this is Obviously reality, so i can’t be falling. but then i’d relax and lose my balance tho i wasn’t moving and i begin falling again. i tried covering myself with clothing. finally i was trying to sleep while clutching the sides of the platform with both hands and hooking my knees tightly underneath.
i slept and when i awoke, i went down into the beautiful river. it looked very much like powdery blue ocean water with whitecapped waves. i caught hold of a rope in the water trailing after my horse, an improved version of the horse i had as a teenager, and i let him tow me upriver.
we arrived at a stone formation that was Mine, exiting the river onto a platform of rock. the pathway led up in a spiral to these magnificent carvings of women with hands raised to the sky surrounding a tall male centaur. he had an extra long torso and an extra set of arms and i think his face kept switching from horse to human. at the top was a lifesize statue of my horse in a very noble pose.
things got very sexual and weird after this point. of course, there are all the sex elements present, so why wouldn’t it?- rocks, horses…
i sure wish the owls that came around to visit the other night had decided to stay and nest here. they were neat and way more growly/animal than any i’ve ever heard.
