Warm Gear
We went to town, which always ruins us completely for the day. We stopped at a small theme diner there because I wanted to have fries. J got dinner. They served me nearly raw fries that I sent back (and I suspect they refried, which–EW!). He had chicken he feels was nearly past its date and they cooked to death to cover. We both felt ill the rest of the day from the food. That was about the extent to which we eat out, maybe twice a year, usually when one of our cars is at the shop across the street, so we will now eat from home.
I’m so happy! I got to shop for some warm clothes, because–example, I was in town in a thick sweater and toboggan hat while others were in shorts and short sleeves. I found thermal underwear that LOOKS LIKE IT WILL FIT!!! My first pair ever made for ladies. Usually I end up wearing guy pants and they are always nearly hopelessly small (and itchy).
I found a nice big men’s thermal top, women’s pj pants that are soft enough to make me squeal and a jacket with a lining that melted my brain. I stood in the store with my hand inside. Just stood there. I usually turn sweat jackets wrongside out because they are scratchy. I cannot wait to wear this one. I also got a couple of pairs of gloves to cut the fingers off for typing. My arm weight rests right on my bony wrists and makes a sore spot. And my hands freeze. Out of all the house, I swear my three by three area is the coldest and draftiest.
