Nature is About to Burst with Aliveness
Spring has definitely arrived, though with a noticeable lack of rain. Great for our garden plans, as we have been living in a swamp for several years. The trees nearby, just north of us, have started to bloom. By tomorrow, some of our flowers will be out, too, and if I can get past the tired haze long enough to remember to take the camera out with me, I will have new photos to share.
Our first plantlings have come into the world as of last night. Heirloom tomatoes destined for the garden space we dug today. The birds have been singing for weeks. The frogs have been deafening already. March seems to be flying by, passing as quickly as winter passed slowly. At one point somewhere around December it ground to a slow, incremental creep and took about three years to relent. I rarely had to leave the house and it still felt endless.
